Maybe not always the best, 
Probably not the smoothest.

I made mistakes. A lot - and probably more. 
I made up for these the best I could afford.

The memories will last, beautiful as they should.
Hopefully the bitterness will fade. 

We had joys, successes, tears and pride. 
By now it is all a time gone by.

Now alone I will lead this ship,
Climbing up, going steep. 

For it is now me alone who bear responsibility
For the good, the bad and the ugly.

Have it rain, have it shine, 
Went through hell, TIME TO RISE!
